Yi Peng and Loy Krathong Festival Chiang Mai #2

Welcome back to Yi Peng Festival 2017, today I would like to share with you the rest of my festival photos I took in Chiang Mai.
In my last post I talked a bit about the festivals themselves and the ceremony we joined in the city.
The ceremony was really beautiful and around ten we decided to go to the east gate bridge in order to see the rising of the lanterns. You definitely can’t miss the bridge since there are thousands of people walking down the streets of Chiang Mai to the east gate.

Although it was very very crowded, (we were barely able to make our way down to the river without getting lost) we even met a friend we made in Bali which was so cool since tens of thousands of people attend the festival every year.

However, we bought a lantern for 50Bath and „joined the spirit“- it was magical! I will never forget this feeling of almost unbearable happiness!
As there is also the Loy Krathong Festival at the same time, we later went to the river and let my little boat float away. Unfortunately it got stuck, nevertheless it was an amazing experience!

Singing in the „HURRICANE“

Hello world,

I am back from my trip to Bremen. I am not quite sure if I already told you that I was born in Bremen, however I spent the last eight days in this beautiful city in northern Germany. I stayed with friends and we had an amazing time.

If you ever want to travel to Bremen, I can highly recommend hanging around at the riverside and having some food and drinks in the vintage/retro/indie district near downtown called the „Viertel“.

On Thursday we took the train to Scheeßel, a little town near Hamburg and went to the Hurricane Festival.
It was amazing! Sleeping in tents, wandering around and talking to crazy people, listening to great music and not caring about stress and work at all.

Although it was very uncomfortable due to the weather,
it was definitely worth it!
It was so amazing to see bands and singers like Green Day, Milky Chance, Linkin Park, Casper, You me at six, Imagine Dragons, Die Antwoord and Lorde life.

Additionally, there were so many enterprises, offering Photo booths, games and promotional gifts. They even had a ferris wheel!
I can highly recommend going to a german festival, you will meet so many friendly and funny people and it will be a great experience!

Since I did not want to bring my camera, I had to take these photos with my phone.
In addition, I tried to create gifs from my Boomerangs but I kinda failed. These gifs are unfortunately bad in quality but I hope you enjoyed them anyway!

Have a nice week!
